Research Fields
To effectively control microbial infections, it is important to understand how pathogens infect the host and how immune system works to protect the host from infection. Based on extensive studies on bacterial pathogenesis, host immunity and vaccines, our laboratory has been actively conducting researches on
(1) molecular mechanisms of host-pathogen interaction, (2) control of biofilm formation,
(3) mechanisms of inflammatory bone diseases and regulation of bone metabolism, and
(4) development of vaccines and platform technology for the evaluation of vaccine efficacy.
본 연구실에서는 다양한 면역세포, 점막상피세포, 파골/조골세포, 실험동물을 이용하여
(1) 감염미생물의 인체침투와 발병기전, (2) 감염에 대응하는 인체의 방어체계,
(3) 세균감염의 치료 및 예방백신개발, (4) 유산균을 비롯한 면역조절물질 작용기전 규명을 위한 연구를 수행하고 있습니다.
현재, 연구교수 2명, 대학원생 12명, 연구행정지원조교가 함께 연구하고 있으며,
1년에 10여편 이상의 SCI급 논문을 쓰고 있는 활동적인 연구실입니다.
